Post Break: Seasons Greetings!

Christmas is just around the corner and once again I'd like to thank you all for continuously visiting and enjoying Food Designs. I am happy that I get to share all those good food arts from all crafty artists, their works are truly amazing!

I've got no special contests and giveaways like shoes, clothes and other stuffs to give here to all my loyal readers and subscribers but I do have scheduled posts already lined up to make sure everything here will be on the roll. I will try my best to search for more food designs to feature here. That's the best holiday present this blog can give you.

I'm not so sure what they used for the overall body of the giraffe but they used biscuits to cove rthe body and provide texture to it.

Pumpkin Serving Vessel

This bowl vessel was carefully crafted from a pumpkin. The nicely detailed bird design really show some character and charm to this serving vessel.

Choco Banana Split

You might think this is just an ordinary Banana Split, not really. Looks can be deceiving coz this is all made up of chocolates. See those white & dark brown thin bars on the background? Those are the chocolates used to make this dessert plate.

Who wouldn't want to receive a cake like this? I admit this one will be pretty hard to eat because I'd feel bad slicing this nicely done cake.

Post Break: Thank You

This blog has been running for the past 2 years and I never thought it can go this far. It all started with just seeing a whole lot of fruit carvings and from there on I started searching for cute food items. I then discovered so many food being transformed into an art piece and I was very amazed seeing such creative masterpieces. With my husband urging me to start blogging and join his passion, I gave in and started this one. My very own Food Designs.

The art pieces you all see here are not my creations and I clearly stated that from the start. My fascination with these great works motivated mo to share it to everybody through this blog. From time to time I go surfing the internet and search for artistically made food items and to my surprise I see more and more food artworks. So many different kinds of creations from fruits, chocolates, vegetables, butter, bread, cakes... almost any kind of food and drink being transformed to something else.

At some point I thought I couldn't continue maintaining this blog anymore but your ever continuous support made a difference. Thank you for your kind visits and I'm just so happy that you all stayed with me through the past 2 years. I will keep searching for interesting items to post here and I hope you will stay with us all the way.

Biking Cow Butter Sculpture

This cow on bike figure is well crafted out of butter. You

may find it unbelievable but it's true. This picture's taken

during a food art exhibition. Proper temperature and such

measures were applied to keep the butter sculpture in good form.

Colosseum Bread

An official entry to a bread exhibition. Breads were baked on the spot and designs were chosen by the contestants.

Tempura Chocolate Art

Believe it or not, this delicious looking tempura is made of chocolate! Using dark chocolate for the plate and sauce and white chocolate for the main dish. With the help of food color and fine craftsmanship, this one looks too real!

Salty Snowmen

Too late for Christmas? Don't worry these cute snowmen won't melt! What a beautiful sal dough creation!

Sweet!

We all know sugar is sweet but I find this creation even sweeter! This is made of sugar. I can't help bu admire the details. The flower petal curls, mushrooms, leaves and cutie snails are very nicely done.

Feathered Fellas

These birds need not to be caged at all since they can't really fly =) You can snap photos and stare as much as you want without them being startled. I'm just wondering if the body's carved from pumpkins...what do you think?

too bad you can't really use this for sms or calls but it can serve as a good gadget to save you from your hunger pangs =) yummy phones!

Just Like A Flowerbed

I see this creation like a flower bed with all the rose details and lovely curves. The meringues and candies on top are bright and colorful giving more life to this pumpkin carved bowl.

Sweet Dumplings

Why sweet? How can it not be if it's all made with rich white chocolate! Such a nice way to snack on both cravings though you can't achieve the dimsum taste you want nevertheless just enjoy being a sweet tooth for once.
