mei: I love sushis too but I don't eat much of the fish sushi. My favorite is california, kani or ebi maki. Now I'm craving! Have you tried different kinds of sushis already?
levian: Cute presentation and very tempting. I think even if I don't eat the other sushis in the box I'd still be tempted to take a bite. =P
life ramblings: Looks like you fell for those sushis, I love the way you described it. Any favorite there?
Ayie: I just had a great sushi cum sashimi lunch awhile ago. The raw salmon's really oh..so creamy. My fav. Yes, I have tried various types of sushi except the ones with unagi (eel) and octupus. I don't eat eel coz they remind me of snakes. Octupus' not my fav. The sushis here are getting more creative with lotsa of different things added to them. There's always sushi filled with spicy shrimps (sambal)...more of a localised sushi.
Mei, you really eat sushis that much! Tried fried unagi from a gourmet resto and i was the first and last time though I admit it's good. Octopus...nah, just the Takuyaki. I have to try that sambal when I get to finally push thru with our postponed SG-KL trip.
Ayie...yes, you can say I really love my sushi and salmon sashimi. There's a restaurant that serves one of my fav dish, Salmon Don. Just raw slices of salmon, roe, cucumber and rice. Simple but I love it.
Life Ramblings, I never tried spicy tuna and I bet I'll like that. i love tuna. I just don't know about salmon, it's good but maybe those few i tried before tasted more fishy (like oily fishy...don't know how to explain) that's why I never got fond of it. Which reminds me, my husband said he likes salmon. I guess i better eat more of it. :D
Oh my...you're tempting me :) I love sushi and these are so pretty like cupcake sushi!
ReplyDeletethis is so alluring! i love sushi! :D
ReplyDeletewow, the sushis look tantalizing.
ReplyDeletecount me in.

ReplyDeleteI guess I'll try salmon sashimi next time then. =D
ReplyDeleteno eel? aw, unagi is my all time favorite. a must have for every trip to japanese restaurants. in bento or on sushi, they taste awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteEvery sushi place has their own variety of rolls and their own interpretations on the sushi classics.
ReplyDeletei personally like spicy tuna and salmon sushi.
ReplyDeleteSo levian, unagi's your favorite. I tried eating it before and it was good but never had it in sushi. Perhaps authentic jap eel tastes better?

ReplyDeletethe taste would probably differ compare to what we are having here. i'm eager to try the real thing out in the future! :D
ReplyDeleteI believe so, the authentic japanese bento will definitely be so good. Also japansese food presentation fascinates me, I want to have the real one.
