Chocolatey birdie

Who would ever think this is a chocolate carved bird? The details and everything are very refined and realistic. I wonder how long it took the carver to finish this masterpiece?

  7. That is amazing, it must be difficult to work with chocolate, keeping it the right temperature while carving.

  8. anne, very true...good thing it's relatively cold here and other countries known for chocolates. I'm not sure where this was made but definitely done with care and great caution. =)

  9. wow very detailed indeed!
i wonder how long the carver took to finish it too.
he/she won't be able to help licking that chocolate from time to time,
    won't he/she? :P

  10. Wow amazing. I thought it was wood at first.

Ah yes it isn't easy to carve chocolate at all. Keeping the right temp and the gentle hands for the details because it does break quite easily. Very nice. If I ever have that, I won't have the heart to eat it at all.

  11. Levian, It definitely took some time. Considering the details, it will take me forever! hahaha! of course the sculptor for that one is a pro so maybe not that long. Maybe he/she's eating the crumbs and fallen pieces after carving it. =P

  12. Ladyviral, like maple or cherry wood? I might mistake it too if I didn't see it under the chocolate category. I'll be happy with tha carved pieces, not biting the birdie at all! haha

or maybe while you are doing it,
i can lend you a "helping hand"? :p
